The latest release in our Food Series — a growing collection celebrating iconic dishes, flavours, and small rituals found around Singapore's hawker culture.

This edition honours Hainanese chicken rice, often called Singapore's national dish: silky poached chicken laid over fragrant rice cooked in chicken stock, ginger, garlic and pandan, served with cucumber, a bowl of clear soup, and the essential trio of chilli, ginger and dark soy sauce. Brought over by Hainanese immigrants, it has grown into one of the island's most beloved everyday meals.

Framed by a playful scalloped border, the postcard is printed in bold chilli red and fresh coriander green, with blind-embossed rice grains that you can feel under your fingertips.

Designed and printed in-house by The Gentlemen's Press as part of an ongoing collectible postcard series documenting familiar local favourites.
