The first release in our new Food Series — a growing collection celebrating iconic dishes, flavours, and small rituals found around Singapore’s hawker culture.

This edition pays tribute to satay: smoky skewers grilled over charcoal, served alongside rice cakes, onions, cucumber, and a generous pool of peanut sauce. Equal parts street food and social ritual, it’s the kind of dish best enjoyed outdoors, slightly overdressed in smoke, with a cold drink nearby.

Illustrated with a mix of vintage menu graphics, paper packaging references, and old-school signboard influences, the postcard is printed in layered greens and warm gold foil for added richness and texture.

Designed and printed in-house by The Gentlemen’s Press as part of an ongoing collectible postcard series documenting familiar local favourites.
