Our Quiet Classic Collection features our Tiong Bahru Letterpress print on Maple White 170gsm as 2C print. It is sized at 300x440mm.
Quiet Classics Collection features local architectural icons such as Cideco Building, Tiong Bahru and Golden Mile.
Initially a Kampong (village) battling with issues of overcrowding and poor sanitation, Tiong Bahru became the first test site for public housing in Singapore. The hilly and swampy burial site was converted into a livable infrastructure to accommodate 13,500 residents.
The early estates reflected a blend of local and imported styles, such as Art Deco and International Style. As a popular style in Europe at that time, the architects were inspired by the simple and clear lines, which has become an iconic feature of the Tiong Bahru neighbourhood.
One of the features of the neighbourhood is Tiong Bahru Market, famous for local food favourites such as ‘Chwee Kueh’. With initial beginnings as a “simple wooden structure with a zinc pitched roof”, it is now a multi storeyed hawker centre/wet market, catering to many of the residents and Singaporeans around.
A less cost and time efficient process versus digital print today. So why have we persisted in the last 10 years?
Due to the uncertainties revolving around COVID safe gathering regulations we are currently withholding our workshop sessions.
Yes. We are able to do that via The Gentlemen's Press (TGP). Please do contact us for a customized print and/or design quote.
